My film opening is a psychological thriller that centers the impacts of social media. Psychological thrillers focus on the mental rather than the physical. Instead of relying on action, my film opening will use themes like fear, obsession, and paranoia. 

Audience:

• Gender: Appeals to all genders, but especially female

Color Pallet:

My film opening will feature pinks, whites, grays, and black to create a dark, yet feminine theme. This will help show the genre and representation by having two sides of the spectrum: light and airy colors such as pink and white, and then deeper colors to depict the darker sides of the film.

Music Video Research:

My music video fits into the indie/alternative genre. This genre usually focuses more on feelings and mood rather than performance or flashy visuals. Indie music videos often feel personal and emotional, almost like memories. They are meant to feel real and relatable instead of overly produced.

Representations and Themes:

The music video shoes young people/teens as disconnected and nostalgic. Growing up is shown as confusing and sometimes lonely. The video depicts more internal emotions rather than action, which makes it feel honest and relatable.

Color Pallet:

My music video will use dark blues, reds, grays and black- along with other dark colors. This will support the genre and help build the mise-en-scene through appealing and color-coded scenery/setting, lighting, and costumes.
